Client
Yeovil District Hospital
Year

Artwork for the waiting areas in the Maternity & Gynaecology Unit. Based on questions & phrases staff use on a daily basis with patients and visitors. The artwork focuses on woman, colour and nature all through the gaze of ‘the little things in life’. Butterflies are a symbol of growth, renewal, fragility & beauty. Rainbows & butterflies used within the context of hospitals are often a nod to hope, lose and remembrance.

Public Art
Hannah Broadway specialises in creating artwork for Arts & Health Settings. She has worked with the NHS extensively as well as other Arts Agencies. Her joyful aesthetics have been selected many times to create a feeling, set a tone or lift the mood. Her work has been turned into digital wallpaper, huge wall panels, murals and giant banners. As the daughter of an architect, Hannah is used to looking at plans and diagrams! She loves working all the way through the process from ideas and site visits, to presenting design schemes, consulting with staff and clients and finallyto production & installation. Hannah is an experienced project manager, workshop leader and presenter.
“Hannah is a talented artist. Her humour, consciousness and flexibility means she’s a delight to work with. She captured the essence of the project very quickly, listening well and taking onboard all the various needs and aspirations of a complex range of stakeholders. She came up with a scheme that was fresh and full of moments of discovery and delight. She delivered well beyond our expectations. ”
